Annual Security Report & Jeanne Clery/Campus Security Act
The Clery Act requires higher education institutions to give timely warnings of crimes
that represent a threat to the safety of students or employees, and to make public
their campus policies. It also requires that crime data is collected, reported and
disseminated to the campus community.
Hard copies of the Clery Act are available free of charge at the Public Safety offices
located at Grossmont College Campus Building 57 and Cuyamaca College Campus Building
A-100. The Clery Act Report is available for viewing to all regular or prospective
students, visitors and employees.

Documentation
The Annual Security Report, which must be published by October 1st each year and include Clery crime statistics
for the prior three calendar years.

Cuyamaca College is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace for staff, faculty,
and students. Board policy states that "Any student who engages in the unlawful manufacture,
distribution, possession, or use of a controlled substance and/or alcohol on District-owned
or operated property or at an official college-sponsored function, or who is under
the influence of any controlled substance or alcohol is in violation of state, District,
and college regulations and is subject to disciplinary action.

The Student Discipline Procedures and Student Code of Conduct states that grounds for disciplinary action exist when there is "Unlawful possession,
use, sale, offer to sell, or furnishing, or being under the influence of, any controlled
substance listed in California Health and Safety Code Sections 11053 et seq., an alcoholic
beverage, or an intoxicant of any kind; or unlawful possession of, or offering, arranging
or negotiating the sale of any drug paraphernalia, as defined in California Health
and Safety Code Section 11014.5."
Education
Grossmont College also offers Health Education 120 - Personal Health and Lifestyles: A course emphasizing the information required to make important decisions concerning
lifestyle and total health. An examination of stress, drugs, major diseases, nutrition,
weight control, sexuality, aging, environmental issues and other topics related to
health and fitness. A practical approach to understanding. A challenge to the student
to assume responsibility for, and take charge of, his/her own health and well-being.
Satisfies GE for Cuyamaca College and CSU. Transfers to CSU and UC (credit limited.)

For sexual assault emergencies, contact 911.
If you are a victim of sexual assault (rape, sexual violence or stalking), please
contact the Office of Student Affairs at 619-644-7600 or visit the Student Affairs
Office (Griffin Center, Building 60-204). Student Affairs will provide students with
the resources and support needed during this time. In addition, students will be provided
with guidance on reporting options. For all emergencies, please contact 911.
Any sexual assault or physical abuse, including, but not limited to, rape, as defined
by California law, whether committed by an employee, student, or member of the public,
occurring on Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District property, in connection
with all the academic, educational, extracurricular, athletic, and other programs
of the District, whether those programs take place in the District’s facilities or
at another location, or on an off-campus site or facility maintained by the District,
or on grounds or facilities maintained by a student organization, is a violation of
District policies and regulations, and is subject to all applicable punishment, including
criminal procedures and employee or student discipline procedures (AP3540).
